The Lucoral Museum is dedicated to the memory of Mrs. Lu Hong Kui-Su, the matriarch of the Lu family.
During the early life of her eleven children, Mama Lu, as she was affectionately known, was busy raising her children.
Only when she moved from Taiwan to Hawaii at the age of 60 did she learn to write. More importantly, she began to paint.
Through her art, she conveyed her Wishes to her children, and her children in turn share her art with all who visit here.
From her loving sons and daughters, and 36 grandchildren, the Lucoral Museum is a gift to the children of Hawaii and the world,
offering aloha (love) and `ike (knowledge) of these treasures from Nature.
Here are some of Mama Lu's paintings.
